This song is about corporations like BJ's Wholesale club, who seem to enjoy using the profits the workers earned for them by buying new corporate locations with basketball courts, pools, gyms, chiropractors. All while slashing worker pay in half, demoting managers, and increasing disrespect in the workplace.
lyrics
Keep to yourself all the money, so addicting
Labor to pay the price of your inflicting
Employment to decline "no money". so conflicting
The monument to all our sins, that you are building
"Trust in your savior, your king with a monocle
Net profits, the billions come saving the rest"
Starvation low wages, our praise to the oracle
For building their courtyards and gyms, just the best
You're liable
I'll tell you why
Profitable, a stupid lie
It's time to take the monocle, we don't want your genocide
So now that we've dealt with the problems that you're afflicting
Learn of our "saviors" death, the man of leading
Good riddance to all, and happy of sight
Perhaps gods perception, or karma of might
supported by 4 fans who also own “Courtyards and Gyms”
NOFX only get better. I will fight anyone on this.
And that Big Drag music video? HOLY SHIT!?!?!?
That was maybe the best cartoon version of reincarnation that I haver ever seen.
Much love to Fat, NOFX and the whole crew.
